Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL),  (formerly Montréal–Dorval International Airport) is the closest airport to the Palais des Congrès de Montreal. The airport is located 20 kilometres from downtown Montréal, with multiple access options by car and public transportation.

Air Canada is the IMS2012 official airline partner. They will provide 10% discount on all tickets purchased on their website. Taxis, adapted taxis or limousines are available at the airport. Taxis cost CAN$38 to downtown montreal (flat rate), not including tips. 

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) runs an express bus line (bus 747) between the airport and downtown. The 747 line service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The trip between Montréal-Trudeau Airport and the Montréal bus terminal at Berri-UQAM metro station takes approximately 35 minutes outside of rush hour. The service makes several stops on the way to Lionel-Groulx metro station, namely along Boulevard René-Lévesque at Guy, Drummond, Peel, Mansfield, Anderson and Saint-Laurent. The 747 is free for holders of 1 or 3-day tourist passes.  Individual one way tickets valid for 24 hours across the entire STM network are also available for CAN$8. At the airport, tickets are sold at the International Currency Exchange (ICE) counter on the international arrivals level.
