IMS2012 International Microwave Symposium

This new initiative, established and sponsored by the IEEE MTT-S Administrative Committee, is available for all 1st/2nd year PhDs students worldwide. The initiative provides sponsorship to attend IMS2012 in Montréal Canada http://www.ims2012.org/

The Sponsorship includes:

• 4 nights accommodation (Check in 17/06, Check out 21/06)
• Free IMS2012 Registration
• Meals (breakfast and lunch)
• Public transportation card (within Montréal City Centre

To qualify for an award:

• All applicants must submit the application form by the deadline stated below.
• All applicants must be IEEE MTT-S members.
• All applicants must submit a personal statement.
• Supervisors are expected to pay for transportation to/from Montréal, Canada.
• Successful applicants are expected to volunteer (1day) helping IMS2012 team.
• Successful applicants are expected to be present at the IMS2012 from Monday noon until Thursday afternoon
• Successful applicants must submit evaluation of one presented paper, one poster paper and a short report about one product from the exhibition, or alternatively participate in the Student Challenge.
• Applications may only be submitted through supervisors.
• Any student may only be sponsored once.
• This sponsorship is aimed at students who have not attended the IMS before.
• MTT-S Fellowship/Scholarship recipients cannot apply to this new initiative.
